Apostles Update

Apr 6, 2021    Dr Laverne
Dear Friends,

He is risen, the tomb is empty! Glory to God!

Pastor Washington Mujuruki (United Kingdom) shared this Easter Sunday on “The Resurrection Power of Christ”. He said it gives us an assurance that in His second coming He is going to take the church but right now we need to make sure that our lives are in right standing with God. The resurrection power is explosive, dynamite power. You are facing a dead situation in your life but this power can turn it around. He testified that he was involved in fatal road accident, suffered multiple fractures but after prayers and the power of God he began to walk again. This resurrection power is not restricted by distance or Geography. Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles. With God all things are possible. He began to command healing in the name of Jesus and rebuking various illnesses.

"He is risen", we give glory to God for such a precious gift of salvation as we join the FIF family to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful week of preparation for the weekend. Friday night we shared on the importance of our salvation. Sunday we continued with the same spirit as the Pastors shared on mercy. We had time to testify on how the cross changed us and we saw some believers shedding tears in appreciation to their God. After service we had time to eat and fellowship and there was so much joy in the church.

We want to thank God for a week of Good News which culminated with Resurrection Sunday. We water baptised 5 candidates on Monday. The Tuesday Ladies Prayers was attended by 11 ladies. On Good Friday night we had an attendance of 47. Our Resurrection Sunday had 67 in attendance. It was a powerful Sunday with a timely message of Easter. Notable testimonies:
A lady after being told by her doctor that her condition called sickle cell was incurable was miraculously touched and healed by God after being prayed for by our Pastor. She said her pain disappeared.
A certain man who had lost power in his legs and would lose balance and fall came to receive the Holy Spirit and left the pulpit walking upright.
The joy was overwhelming when many came forward to be Holy Spirit filled and 5 were baptised by the Holy Spirit and began to speak in new tongues. Glory to God. Pray for us as we look forward to a blessing of a bigger bus and that we buy our own place for worship.

Nevis - Easter Sunday worship was rich with 45 people in attendance. Our church was blessed with a dance by members of the Children's group after which our Praise and Worship team led us into worship. Holy Communion was served followed by a fellowship luncheon. We praise God for the attendance and pray that our numbers will continue to grow. We pray for our Children's Ministry as they grow and display their Talents in the work of God.

We want to thank the God of our Father Apostle Ezekiel for a powerful week of prayer and services. We have started an evangelistic outreach every Tuesday on line. We have hope that many lives will be saved through this outreach ministry. This Friday we had an awesome Service focusing on the theme "The Crucifixion" choreographed by our Deacon Caroline & Team. We had various ministries performing. There was dance by our powerful dance team led by Elder Stephanie. Acting and narration by our wonderful drama team. Our Elder Betty delivered a powerful message on the Lord Jesus dedicating His entire life to the service of humanity. Many believers dedicated their lives to serving the Lord fervently. Easter Sunday Service was awesome – it was a time of celebrating our risen Lord. Our Speaker for the word was Dr. David Simango who delivered a powerful message on the glory of God. Many believers received their deliverance and healing in their situations. There were powerful testimonies of healing and God providing a permanent job in the midst of this Pandemic. We thank you for your prayers.

Mango Creek/Punta Gorda – After a week of prayers online, 2 people gave their lives to Christ on Good Friday. On Sunday, Mango Creek went back to physical meeting with14 people and 3 devices on Zoom as service was aired live. We had a joyful time in the Presence of God and we also had fellowship afterwards. In Punta Gorda during house visitations 2 people received Jesus Christ. We had a blessed Resurrection service where 7 adults and 22 children received Jesus Christ. We had a total of 18 adults and 28 children in attendance. We had Holy Communion and sweet fellowship after service. One truck driver after hearing the message of Jesus while giving pastor Helen a lift, received Jesus weeping and said he felt Jesus entering his heart making 3 people in total this week in Mango Creek.

Eldridgeville Flying Eagles Assembly Punta Gorda we had a blessed time in our mid-week services. Our easter conference hosted by Elder Mishael Mushariwa kicked off on Saturday evening with 16 people in attendance. Guest speaker Pastor Julian Martinez spoke mightily on God's Restoration Power. Two souls rededicated their lives back to Jesus.
On Sunday we had 15 people in attendance. Guest speaker Pastor Diane Mangar spoke emphasizing on the Power of His resurrection. Some people were prayed for and they were revived. After the word we had holy communion. The conference ended with much joy in sharing of gifts to the saints and breaking of bread and fellowship.

Montego Bay - Praises be to the God of our Father Ezekiel for a blessed Easter conference. We had three powerful speakers and a guest Gospel singer. Pastors Dwight & Latoya Steadford and Pastor Lydia were all used mightily by God to speak messages of hope, faith, perseverance and deliverance. Persons testified how encouraged and stirred up they were by the preaching. They also shared that the teachings on Talents & the History of our church has opened up their eyes. During one session, persons began pouring out and got their healing and deliverance from the spirit of unforgiveness. Attendance was good and our overseers and Portmore Assembly joined us. We give God thanks for the spirit of love and togetherness we continue to experience.

We had an amazing time in the Easter Conference within the regions from Friday to Sunday. The regions started their Easter conferences on a high note. There was powerful Praise and Worship and testimonies and there were messages from the Lord during worship affirming that nothing is impossible with Him. There was joy of the Lord throughout as the whole nation managed to have our conferences face to face as COVID 19 is under control in the nation. The speakers from the Youth Ministry were mightily used by God during the conference. Testimonies:
Two weeks before the Easter Conference, a lady was diagnosed with epilepsy in Wellington and was asked to stop coming to work, she was having seizures, she was prayed for and the epilepsy disappeared, she went to the neurologist to be tested after being prayed for and the disease was no more, she is now back to work.
In Christchurch Pastor prayed for one of our Elder who suddenly got sick at home and he got well God is moving in a mighty way in New Zealand.

Fort Dauphin - We thank God as our Soul Winning team goes for door to door preaching many people are dedicating their lives to Christ. We thank God for the provision of the building of our office, the construction is moving and will be finished by the end of the month of April. We thank God for a wonderful Easter Conference with a maximum of 89 in attendance. Testimonies:
A young boy was attacked by demon and lost consciousness, after being prayed for by the Pastor the evil spirit left him and he got delivered and came back to his mind.
One of our believers had an evil spirit attacking her on her birthday. She always has accidents or gets very sick on her birthday since she was a child. After being prayed for, she got delivered and she could enjoy her birthday this year with her family.
One of our believer was about to give birth, the family told her to go to the witch doctor because all her relatives had complications in delivering some even died. But she stood against the family and decided to put it into the hands of God. God protected her and she delivered a baby boy without any problems.

We ask your prayers for many more souls to come and for all the development project to be accomplished.

Thanking God for good rains and not floods in this rainy season.
Thanking God for your nation.

Please note we are repeating this series:

My request to you, can you be my disciple. I need disciples. Jesus stayed with them 3 years. I need disciples so when I get old they will see me in you. Our enemy is our character. Character you don’t change by fasting but by making decision to change and begin to change. When we preached the Kingdom of God in Harare, people prospered and gave to the Lord but a new generation came and preached their own gospel and the people went into poverty. Why not preach the Kingdom of God. If you are my disciple, why not learn from me, follow, me as I follow Christ. The key is to be a disciple. Deal with your character. God bless you.

We love you and are praying for you,
Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
