Apostles Update

Feb 16, 2021    Dr Laverne

Dear Friends,

INTERNATIONAL SUNDAY LIVE BROADCAST
Bishop Sebenzile Msiza (Zimbabwe) was sharing on how to handle ourselves or behave when we are in a crisis. He defined a crisis as a traumatic and stressful change in one’s life. God tests us through the furnace of affliction and there is no way God can mature us unless we go through some trials referencing from the book Maturity by Professor Ezekiel Guti. He also testified growing up in hardship and resentment but his life changed when he received Jesus. A crisis is not meant to destroy you but to make you better, it is a refinery process. Rely on the power and grace of God and He will take you through. He gave some tips on how to behave in a crisis: don’t deviate from the right path, don’t entertain negative flash thoughts. Don’t allow fear to dictate your actions, don’t follow information which is not authentic, don’t disregard fundamental absolutes like prayer but above all Jesus Christ is there to solve your situation.

MOROCCO
We give glory to the God of our Father Apostle Ezekiel H. Guti for the grace that He is bestowing on the church in Morocco. We had a wonderful Sunday service with a total attendance of 33 adults and 10 children. 6 other adults joined the service online. The church is growing in the love of God as we fellowship and eat together after every service. We had a good attendance for our Friday prayer service and the church received a powerful teaching on the need for working our salvation as believers by Pastor T. Kahwema from New Zealand. The ladies also met for the weekly Tuesday prayer.

GUYANA
We want to thank the God of our Father, the Apostle and Servant of God, Dr. Ezekiel H. Guti for His goodness to His people in this country of Guyana. This week has been a wonderful week. We are continuing to see the hand of God among the believers. On Monday people are praying for the sinners to come to Christ. The women had a wonderful Tuesday prayer meeting with 10 ladies in attendance. Our online Friday service was well attended with 22 people logging in. We had a powerful service on Sunday with 50 adults in attendance and 7 children. Our Pastor encouraged the believers with the Word of God. There was a great joy in the church and people are looking forward to come again to church to hear the Word of God. Thank you so much people of God for your prayers. Guyana will never be the same.

ST KITTS & NEVIS
Nevis - On Sunday our leaders delivered a powerful service starting with the Bible Study led by Pastor Ahmed on the topic "Faith in God's Power", a very timely topic for such a time when our faith is tested and relied on the most. Pastor Nakia Ahmed then followed with a powerful Word entitled "Baptized in the Holy Spirit". One Member testified how good God has been to her through surgery, removing of an infected toe-nail with complications due to her being a diabetic but glory be to God it has healed quite well and she is feeling better. The joy of the Lord was evident throughout the attendance of a total of 30 (19 Adults and 11 Children) which included 3 Visitors. Throughout this week our leaders and Pastors have been praying for a brother who has been very instrumental to our church in facilitating for us to get the Word out locally as well as worldwide through his online Radio Station. He had stroke but the God of our Father Apostle Ezekiel Guti heard our cries and he is doing much better. We give God all of the praise and we pray for continued strength in our Faith as we watch God go to work in these challenging times

BELIZE
Mango Creek/Punta Gorda - This week we saw the hand of God in our services. On Friday night we joined with the USA Houston assembly as we prayed for our Jerusalem (Zimbabwe) in one accord. On Sunday our children's church welcomed our New CE teacher and we had 12 children on line. They were taught to love their neighbours and to be kind. The children testified of the goodness of God and also took turns to share scriptures and explaining it. It’s a joy to see the hunger in the little ones. At our regular service Pastor Victory and Pastor Helen preached a tagged team message using Luke 15. The Church was excited and happy to have Pastor Victory online. Some testimonies:
One woman was diagnosed with breast cancer and after praying for her on our morning glory she testified that the tumor has gone down.
Another person said that since coming to FIFMI she has learnt to pray and fast for her family and now they are learning to live in peace.
Please pray for both assemblies that we may find places of worship.

JAMAICA
Glory be to the God of our Father Apostle Ezekiel Guti, who has continued to preserve us during these unprecedented times. There is a spike in Covid-19 cases but the assembly continues to meet virtually for mid-week and face to face on Sundays. Mid-week services were well attended and on Friday Pastor Rick Mariano (USA) gave a message entitled Trust in The Lord. On Sunday, 23 persons were in attendance. Deaconess Susanne preached powerfully on the topic God cares. During the service persons came to testify about what God has done for them.
A Deaconess testified that while she was in a mid-week service praying she heard gunshots. She was concerned because her daughter and husband just drove out. When they came back they told her that the car in front of them received bullets but their car was spared. She thanked God for preserving their lives.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Abu Dhabi - Pastors Thomas & Rhoda Dewa arrived in the UAE on the 11th of February 2021. We managed to introduce them to the leadership on the same Thursday evening they arrived, just before our prayer meeting, then we had prayer with them. On Friday we attended church with our Pastors, and the church welcomed them so well, with 95 gadgets logged in. Pastors Thomas preached on the Kingdom of God, and the church received the word with much enthusiasm. All the meet and greet meetings are being done on the Zoom platform. We would like to thank our Father and Mother, the Servants and Apostles of God Professor. E.H Guti and Dr. Eunor Guti for sending us Pastors Thomas & Rhoda. We are so looking forward to working with them, and the church can’t wait to see them physically.

TEACHING: PART OF BABA & AMAI'S MESSAGE

My request to you, can you be my disciple. I need disciples. Jesus stayed with them 3 years. I need disciples so when I get old they will see me in you. Our enemy is our character. Character you don’t change by fasting but by making decision to change and begin to change. When we preached the Kingdom of God in Harare, people prospered and gave to the Lord but a new generation came and preached their own gospel and the people went into poverty. Why not preach the Kingdom of God. If you are my disciple, why not learn from me, follow, me as I follow Christ. The key is to be a disciple. Deal with your character. God bless you.

We love you and are praying for you,

Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
